TranTrac — What's New
Your version: 26.11.1.1, installed 11/01/2026.
This update covers everything since the last release notes (26.10.4.1, October 4). It is a smaller update: mostly fixes for errors some of you ran into over the past month.
The short version
If you read nothing else:
Previous and Next are back on records you open from inside another record.
The error box when searching the Clients list should be gone for good. The October update fixed most of it; this fixes the case that was left.
Four error messages fixed: signing in, Export Data, the Map button, and searching lists. Details below.
You may see the update bar for the first time. If TranTrac is open when this update arrives, a bar at the top will offer to restart into it.
26.11.1.1 — November 1, 2026
Fixed
Previous and Next on records opened from another record. When you opened a record from inside another one — a trip from inside an appointment, for example — the Previous and Next buttons were greyed out. They work again. They are paused only for the moment while the record is saving.
The error box when searching the Clients list. The October update fixed most of these. One case was left: the first search after TranTrac had been sitting idle could still put up an error box with a long technical message. TranTrac now checks its connection before searching, so that no longer happens.
An error when signing in. Now and then, signing in failed with a message about "UpdateAvailableController". This happened when Windows was busy with TranTrac's update files at the same moment. It no longer stops you signing in.
Export Data with no dates. Running Export Data without a Beginning Date or Ending Date failed with a database error. TranTrac now tells you what is missing: choose the type of export, enter both dates, and make sure the Ending Date is not before the Beginning Date.
The Map button on a client with no address. Pressing Map on a client with a blank address or city failed with an error. TranTrac now maps whatever part of the address is filled in. If there is no address at all, it says so.
What looks different
The update bar. The October update added a bar that tells you when a new version is ready, but there was nothing newer to offer until now. If you leave TranTrac open all day, you may see it this time: "A new version of TranTrac is available. Save your work, then restart now to update?" Choose Yes to restart into the new version. You will be asked about any unsaved changes first. Choose No and it reminds you again in an hour.
Behind the scenes
Updates to the components TranTrac is built on, including those for text messaging and document storage.
TranTrac not updating?
If someone at your agency is still on an older version, they are probably starting TranTrac from a pinned taskbar icon, which can skip the update check. Close TranTrac, reinstall it once from your agency's TranTrac install page, and start it from the Start menu from then on.
Administrators can see exactly who that is under Administration > Security > Users on Old Versions.
