TranTrac — What's New
Changes to TranTrac, newest first.
Your version: 26.8.30.1, installed 08/30/2026.
The short version
If you read nothing else:
TranTrac no longer slows down the longer you leave it open. You can keep it
running all day.The two error messages you have been seeing are gone — the one while
scrolling long lists, and the one when clicking between tabs.Long lists open and close quickly instead of hanging.
Two things are worth checking in your existing records. See the
"Worth checking" notes below — they cover eligibility verifications and trip
mileage costs.
26.8.30.1 — August 30, 2026
The error messages are gone.
Fixed
The error while scrolling long lists.
You could be scrolling through Trips, Appointments, Clients or eligibility
records and get an error box with a long technical message in it. That no longer
happens.
The crash when clicking between tabs.
Clicking from one open tab to another could close TranTrac with an error. Fixed.
Records changing on their own.
Simply opening a record was enough to change it. Two things were happening:
Eligibility verifications had their Completed Date and Completed By
replaced with the wrong information.Recurring appointments lost their Trip Sub-Type.
Neither happens now.
Worth checking. Records that were already changed were not put back. It is
worth spot-checking eligibility verifications where the "completed by" name
looks wrong for who actually did the work, and recurring appointments that are
missing a Trip Sub-Type.
Passwords being reset.
The built-in accounts had their passwords reset back to the default whenever
TranTrac was updated — so if you had changed one, it stopped working after an
update. They now keep whatever password you set.
Sign-in problems now get reported.
If TranTrac cannot reach your database, or a sign-in fails, that is now recorded
so support can see what happened. Previously those were the one kind of problem
that left no trace at all — which is why sign-in issues were hard for us to
track down when you reported them.
What looks different
All your tabs stay visible.
When a record has more tabs than fit across the window, the tab headers now wrap
onto a second row instead of scrolling off to the side behind little arrows.
Trip miles show three decimals.
Actual Miles and Attendee Miles now show — and let you type — three
decimal places. Before, the screen rounded to two while the real value kept
three, so your totals did not always match what was on screen.
Imports and SMS log downloads are faster.
They also no longer lock up the rest of the window while they run. One
trade-off: you cannot move or cancel the progress window until it finishes.
26.8.6.1 — August 7, 2026
TranTrac stays fast all day.
Fixed
No more slowdown after a few hours.
TranTrac used to get slower and heavier the longer it was left open — worst for
anyone who never closed it between shifts. It now stays steady all day.
Lists close instantly.
Closing Trips, Appointments, eligibility, the SMS log and several other lists
used to hang for a few seconds before the window would go away. That wait is
gone.
Trip mileage cost was calculated from the wrong figure.
Traveled Mileage Cost was using the appointment's mileage instead of the
trip's Actual Miles. It now uses Actual Miles.
Worth checking. Any report or export that included Traveled Mileage Cost
before August 7 showed the wrong number. If you filed or submitted anything
based on it, it is worth running again.
New
Easier date entry.
Date fields move you from day to month to year as you type, so you no longer
have to tab or click between them, and they accept dates as far back as 1850 —
useful for dates of birth.
RouteGenie export.
A new option in Export Data, alongside the formats already there.
Heads up
The Appointment box on a Trip may look empty when you open it.
It was changed to a search box: start typing and the matching appointments
appear. If it looks blank at first, that is why.
26.6.20.2 — June 29, 2026
The big lists open quickly.
What looks different
Long lists open on recent records only.
Appointments, Appointments MCO, Trips, Trip Distance, Trips With No Drivers,
Trip Schedule, Eligibility, Eligibility Batch, Questionnaires and the SMS Log
now open showing only recent records instead of loading everything ever entered.
How far back is set on your agency record (the Days Back setting) — ask if
yours needs adjusting. To reach older records, use the search box or the list's
own filter.
Appointment lists draw faster.
A TranTrac screen while it starts.
Instead of nothing appearing to happen for a few seconds after you launch it.

26.5.19.2 — May 23, 2026
New
Alerts.
An alert can be set up against a type of record and will appear as a message bar
across the top of the window whenever you open a matching record. Each alert has
its own importance level and how long it stays on screen.
