UPDATE: Changes to PatTrac's Firewall Exception Policy

We are still on track to implement this change this weekend. Although we have heard from some of you, please let us know your agency's public IP addresses and any permanent State locations your Agency may be working from if you have not provided it to us.

Effective April 1st, we will be implementing a change to our firewall exception policy. All inbound and outbound network traffic will be restricted to State of Maryland IP addresses only (DoIT, MDH, networkMaryland). This means that access to our application from IP addresses outside of the State of Maryland will be blocked. In order to facilitate access for remote users outside of Maryland, we are also allowing the option to use the State of Maryland's VPN service. This will allow authorized users to connect to our applications from any location using the State of Maryland's VPN service.

We believe that this combination of measures will help enhance the security of our applications while still providing the necessary access for remote users.
